What the AI does
- Summarizes the policy PDF you upload (deductibles, limits, coverage types).
- Answers plain-English questions about your policy by quoting the relevant section.
- Drafts adjuster prep notes, letters, and checklist suggestions.
- Explains insurance terms.
What the AI does not do
- It does not file claims with your insurance company.
- It does not replace a licensed agent, attorney, public adjuster, or doctor.
- It does not guarantee a coverage interpretation.
- It does not negotiate on your behalf.
Limits to keep in mind
- AI answers are only as good as the document you upload. Scanned, partial, or low-quality PDFs produce weaker answers.
- AI can be confidently wrong. Always verify big-dollar or deadline-sensitive answers against the source policy and with your insurance company.
- State law may override what the policy says. AfterCrash does not provide legal advice.
Where the answer came from
When possible, AfterCrash shows the section of your policy used to generate an answer so you can verify it yourself.
Third-party AI providers
We use leading AI providers (currently OpenAI and Google Gemini) under enterprise agreements that prohibit them from training on your content. Document text and your question are sent only when needed to answer it.
When in doubt
Call your insurance company to confirm coverage. Call a licensed attorney for legal advice. Call a doctor for medical advice. Call 911 for emergencies.
